STRUCTURAL DESIGN
the static suggestions interpreted and defined with patient work of research and proportioning
are the most effective sources of architectural inspiration.

Structural projects
Reinforced masonry house.
Orbetello, (GR)
The challenge was to build a house with minimal environmental impact (bearing walls and wooden roof) in a place inaccessible to concrete mixers and heavy vehicles and without creating new roads by limiting the depth of the foundations so as not to cause damage to the Maremma landscape.
Seismic upgrading and new elevation
Guidonia Montecelio (RM)
This detached house must be raised for the creation of new homes and therefore the seismic upgrading was designed, with interventions on the existing structure.
Raising and seismic upgrading of a reinforced concrete
and steel building for hospital use,
Rome
The structure chosen for the elevation was steel in order to be able to create a light product on an existing concrete building, not designed to be raised.
The building consists of n. 4 land lots to be completed in 5 years with a roof for 850 kWp photovoltaic panels and a total covered 12,000 m2.
Seismic retrofitting of a building in
reinforced concrete dating back to the 80's.
Roma, Torre Angela
Seismic retrofitting in reinforced concrete buildings is often invasive but is necessary to make up for design deficiencies or because it was decided to include new functions in the buildings: in this case it was preferred to integrate the reinforcements and thicken the sections of the pillars.
Structural design of multi-storey building for residential use
with demolition of the existing building..
Rome, Morena
The challenge was to create a 6-storey building within a land lot that had already been built and excavated: the reinforced concrete walls were first consolidated, then the existing one was demolished and then the elevated structure was built. False pillars were needed to accommodate the detachments. Even the architectural and thermotechnical projects were taken care of by our studio.
Steel buildings for studios.
Rome, Cinecittà
The theater was built identical to the one bombed in 1944, of which the original drawings and period photos remain. The challenge was to decrease the environmental impact with materials that meet the CAM criteria and with a fully recyclable dry infill. Furthermore, the current acoustic, anti-seismic and thermo-technical criteria were met, through the use of a package calibrated to contain heat dispersion and limit acoustic and thermal bridges. The architectural, structural and thermotechnical project were created by our studio.
Hospital building built with a prefabricated structure.
Rome
The project was conditioned by 3 factors: narrow land lot, superficial foundation due to the presence of the archaeological layer and reduced construction times, therefore a prefabricated structure with already insulated panels was opted for.
